MiSK launches new initiative to promote good social practices in Ramadan
  • The project is the first in a series of initiatives to promote noble values known to Saudis. 
  • The project will produce video clips that highlight and explain a holy verse and how it applies to a person's daily routine. 

LONDON: The MiSK Foundation has launched a new initiative calling on Saudi Arabian citizens and residents to uphold good behaviour and practice in society during the holy month of Ramadan.

The not-for-profit organization, founded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2011, launched "Misk Al-Qiyam" in order to promote 'good practices' during Ramadan and beyond.

The "Aya Wa Qeemah" — or "A Verse and its Value" — project is the first in a series of initiatives to promote noble values known to Saudis. 

The project will work to produce video clips that highlight and explain a holy verse and how it applies to a person's daily routine. 

The clips will be broadcast throughout Ramadan on a number of media outlets and social media platforms. 

The launch of this initiative reflects the belief to try and underpin society with good practices and values as part of promoting a better society in keeping with Vision 2030. 

Many of the clips will seek to remind people of basic tenets of religion which call for better human interaction, as well as raising awareness about patriotism, national questions as well as means to protect the environment, empower youth and promote productivity and positivity in society. 

MiSK has promised to launch more initiatives with "Misk al-Qiyam", stating the importance of values in influencing good behaviour among people in the community.
